PS/LR, "one" app to rule them all.

I prefer the no frills, no music, no fancy graphics, just go. I hate the movies lately, all of the fancy animated logos for every company involved somehow. I want the information or entertainment, forget the pretty vanity stuff.

Enjoyed the podcast. No intro or outro and no music is the way to go. I've subscribed to LR/PS for many years and am happy with the value I receive for the subscription price. Have never been tempted to try anything except I do supplement LR/PS with a few Topaz and DXO modules.

Thanks. Please keep it simple. Don't waste my time with music and fancy intros. Your substance is always worth listing to. No need to put lipstick on it.

I prefer the casual talk without the music, as if you are just talking to me without special effects or speechifying.

First nice job with LP discussion. Let me join the crowd, skip any music etc. and get to the topic(s) on hand for the podcast.

You pointed out that for $9.99 one gets Lightroom plus Photoshop. Adobe used to list LrC as also being included for $9.99 but doesn't anymore. If you call Adobe customer service, they will give you all three for $9.99. Why don't they say so on their site?

Being a musician, I think intro music would be nice. Doesn’t have to be long at all, short and sweet. 😎. I’ve been a subscriber to Adobe’s Photographer Subscription Plan ever since it came out and in my opinion, $120 a year is a good price. There’re a lot of other great photo editing software programs available, so if I ever decide to cancel my Adobe subscription, I know it won’t be hard finding something else that will fit my workflow. If it comes down to another subscription based fee, I’ll choose what best fits my budget. Just as I’ll now have to choose if subscribing to the paid version of your podcast will fit my budget. Unfortunately, it may not.

Thank you Anthony. Firstly, yes please avoid the intro music etc. Simple works great.

Subscriptions? I’ve not had a problem with paying Adobe monthly. I wouldn’t mind paying the sub yearly to be honest, for a small discount. Paying outright and ‘owning’ the software is a to my mind self defeating because ultimately you want updates and when your version is out of date and you need to upgrade, you're essentially still subscribing. If you don’t you end up with effectively useless software. It only takes Apple or MS to release a new OS and you’re screwed anyway.

Good first Podcast. Please keep it up.

Important information ! Thank you ! I have a series of applications that I used very often and they still work very well for me. There was Color effex Pro 4, Silver effex Pro,Viveza as well as e few others which I found very useful. I don't know if they are still available. I remember that they were part of the Nick collection

Thanks, as for myself I prefer the subscription ideas as I use primarily Lightroom. Adoobe is frequently sending updateds and "bug" fixes which keep the program up-to-date. I recently purchased (recently on sale) the NIK program specifically for B&W processing, although I have played with the other portions of the program. Wonder if they will go to subscription based program. There is a major draw back to DXO/NIK, customer support, they are based in Europe and do not have phone or screen share options for customer support. Adobe is much better at customer support in those areas.

Enjoy the holidays everyone.

Capture One subscription is high. Adobe is just $9.99/month and Luminar Neo, I got it for $79/year. I am a Fujifilm user but I won't get Capture One anymore. I have C1 2022 and I'll stick to it till I can't use it anymore.
