The Poetry of Photography
January 23, 2023 issue #18 – I’ve often considered photography and poetry metaphorical twins. Similarly, I think of a movie and a novel as metaphorical twins.
In a good novel, the writer must convey to the reader, via dialog and narrative, a compelling story. The writer must paint the scene with words, and the characters in the novel must reveal themselves through description and dialog. The novelist can write as long as needed to tell the story.
